Jon is a trusted advisor to his clients and gets to know their businesses and goals, allowing them to take advantage of opportunities and proactively identify and resolve legal challenges. He has broad-based experience counseling clients across the full range of business law services, including deal-making, commercial contracts, real estate, workforce management and HR, and regulatory and corporate governance. He represents both large, global, publicly traded companies and smaller, high-growth entities to help seize legal and strategic opportunities avoid road-blocks and pitfalls.

Jon brings a practical approach to drafting and negotiating contracts to mitigate risk, while also allowing the parties to reach an agreement. He is nimble and is comfortable negotiating both from positions of strength where contract language may have industry-wide implications and in situations where the client may not have leverage to demand many changes.

 

​He has negotiated a wide variety of contracts for his clients, including professional services contracts, real estate transactional documents, employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, technology licensing contracts, and much more.   

Jon also advises on contract management and deal-flow, so that contract negotiations do not hold up transactions and the parties can move forward with the underlying project. He develops form agreements and "play books" that allow clients to go quickly to market with an acceptable risk profile.
